Rory in the news...

It's been a busy few weeks for Rory Fallon, our chief taster.

First of all, came the news that he had joined Bristol Rovers after a gruelling fifteen months away from playing football. Needless to say, he and the rest of The Cowlick team were thrilled.

Obviously, we will miss his efforts in the kitchen - being chief taster is a very dangerous and time consuming job (!) but it goes to show that with a lot of hard work and dedication, you can achieve your goals.

Then came our very exciting news pieces in lots of awesome publications, including The Football League, The Sun, The Plymouth Herald and also on Talk Sport radio.

We are thrilled and so grateful for the opportunity that these publications have given us to tell you, our fellow ice cream addicts about The Cowlick Creamery.

Watch this space!

Ice cream + Football =The Dream Team

This month we are featured in one of Rory's favourite summer reads - none other than Four Four Two Magazine. How exciting!

This is a MUST-READ edition in the calendar year, as it sums up the predictions for the coming football season. Ooo the possibilities!

Our chief taster and professional footballer, Rory talks all things Cowlick, recovering from a cruciate injury and our most recent development - (drum roll…) Doggie Ice Cream!

Yes, that's right Cow-lickers, we make our very own doggie-friendly ice cream, which has been carefully formulated and easier for doggies to digest than regular ice cream.

So, if you would like to stock our doggie ice cream or purchase a tub, please drop us a line for  supplier information.

Summer lovin' at The Cowlick

Well folks, it's been a little while since we posted something juicy on our Moos page - but what a few months it's been!

Weddings

We have been to some beautiful summer weddings of far this season with Maisy our vintage tricycle! It seems that the wonderful wedding guests can't get enough of our freshly made ice cream and sorbets. If you would like to make a booking, then drop us a line.

Where on earth?

We have been scooping to festival goers, peddling our wares to Cannon Hall (have you checked out their Downton Abbey display yet?) and developing some lip-smackingly good flavours too!

Anyone for Gin?

We are delighted to be working with the fantastical folk at Sir Robin of Locksley Gin in our alcoholic sorbet range. We know you'll love the flavours of zingy lemon, rhubarb and pink grapefruit! If you work in the restaurant trade or have a wholesale enquiry, get in touch for some more info.

The Cowlick Creamery at Cannon Hall.

What a fantastic Easter Break we've had, here at The Cowlick!

For the very first time, we took our scrumptious tricycle, filled to the brim with lashings of gorgeous ice cream to Cannon Hall near Barnsley.

The weather was glorious and ice cream fans were out in droves, as they visited Cannon Hall Farm and Cannon Hall Museum. There was rhubarb crumble, gingerbread man,  lemon curd and honey and then there was creme egg, black forest gateau and lemon sorbet too!

We had a wonderful time speaking with all our customers and look forward to seeing you there again soon!

Making the news!

Thank you to Barnsley Chronicle for featuring us in your newspaper last Friday! Maisie, our ice cream tricycle has never looked so good!

Rory's role as chief taster is getting lots of attention too! He is a tough man to please and nothing gets past his strict judging methods. It takes many years of hard work and dedication (and copious amounts of the best ice cream on offer) to make the grade!

Well…it's a tough job, but someone has to do it!

Football, football…and some ice cream on the side

You may be wondering what is happening on Twitter and Facebook sites and all this talk of footballers and our hand-made ice cream. No doubt you have seen the pictures of some famous players enjoying a ride on our tricycle and getting stuck in to some of our flavours…they just can't get enough of it!

And who can blame them? With only 8% fat in some of our recipes, what's not to love?

Rory - our chief taster is an expert both on ice cream and of course, the beautiful game, so keep your eyes open for ice cream supplies in other football venues across South Yorkshire and beyond.

Baileys ice cream and a night with the Irish Irons

What a privilege it was to be asked by Scunthorpe FC to create some hand-made Baileys ice cream! Last Saturday evening, the Irish Irons had a dinner at the club to celebrate their 20th anniversary of supporting the club.

So… no pressure whatsoever for us here at The Cowlick to produce an ice cream made with one of Irelands major exports (and one of our favourites!)

We hope that you enjoyed your ice cream and here's to the next 20 Years!

We love creating special flavours for any special event, so why not get in touch with us to see what we can make for you!

Ice cream and well digging in Kenya…all in a day's work.

We've been doing a spot of fundraising of our own today in aid of the charity 'We love The Poor' . These guys are from South Yorkshire and have managed to set up and amazing orphanage in Kenya in recent years. When we heard that the children at the orphanage were having to drink dirty water because of recent drought conditions, we wanted to help raise some much needed funds.

We decided to donate half of our sales proceeds raised today (13.03.15) to this awesome charity so that a new well can be dug for children and families in this area of Kenya.

Thanks to everyone who has taken part and to those who continue to come through our doors here in Carlton Business Park.

Ice cream heaven at the I do Wedding show

Last weekend was the much anticipated 'I do Wedding show' at Doncaster racecourse. There were catwalk shows and goodie bags, bands, bouquets and of course brides galore! We had a great time talking to (literally) hundreds of brides and grooms about their special day.

Prosecco and strawberry, lemon curd and caramel macchiato were just some of the flavours handed out from our gorgeous tricycle and are so excited about the forthcoming weddings that we have been booked for! We love a good wedding at The Cowlick.

Britain's biggest ice cream show

This week, we've been at the Ice Cream Alliance show in Harrogate. We came, we saw, we tasted…and tasted some more!

This place is like heaven for ice cream addicts like us, and it's a chance for those in the ice cream industry to keep up to date with the latest trends, the best suppliers and generally talk ice cream.

Good job we have our lovely tricycle so that we can shift some of those naughty calories!

Here come the Brides

STOP THE PRESS! WE ARE OFFERING A SPECIAL DISCOUNT FOR BOOKINGS MADE AT OUR FORTHCOMING WEDDING FAYRES! DON'T MISS YOUR CHANCE TO LICK A SWEET DEAL!

Ah, tis the season of the Wedding Fayre extravaganza; a chance for beautiful brides to explore the wedding market and fill up their scrap books with some fabulous ideas.

It's the time for agonising over the seating plan, finalising honeymoons and wondering how to entertain the masses when the big day finally arrives! It's always a nice idea to have some kind of welcome drinks and maybe some canapés if the budget will stretch, but how about serving some ice cream instead?

Kids will love it and we know that adults will too!

We are looking forward to attending several shows (and counting!) over the next few months, where we will be showcasing our tricycle at some fantastic locations.

February 22nd - Tankersley Manor and Holiday Inn Barnsley. (Special discounts available)

March 8th - I Do Wedding Exhibition, Doncaster Racecourse

March 22nd - Elsecar Heritage center, Barnsley

So if you are coming along to any of these shows, where admission is free, we would love to meet you!
